About

I have spent most of my career working inside health systems, not consulting to them.

Right after my master's, I spent a fellowship year at Dartmouth-Hitchcock doing quality and operations work. That led to Geisinger Health System, where I spent the next 14 years in clinical quality, operations, surgical services, emergency medicine, and business intelligence. My role was helping clinical teams reach their patient safety, operational, and staff experience goals through analytics and improvement science, and teaching them to sustain it.

Over those years, I led redesigns across dozens of sites, helped independent clinical teams build common systems with the right level of standardization, and kept measuring after implementation to see whether the changes held.

Laam Analytics is how I keep doing that work, now for organizations facing the same challenges.

What's Different

• I've worked on the implementation side, where I learned one plan rarely fits every team. Every team works on the same goal, but how we get there depends on that team's culture and capacity.
   

• I can tell you whether your culture efforts are making a difference.  My peer-reviewed framework builds on your existing survey scores to show whether a team is on the same page.
   

• I help leaders read safety metrics over time, not just in the first few months. Numbers often get worse before they get better as problems come to light. Gains can also fade once attention moves elsewhere, so I keep measuring after go-live.
